Today's Map: Prohibited Zone during the Olympic Games in response to aircraft threats

Today's map concerns the United Kingdom, in particular the Olympic Games airspace security put into tension by possible Olympic threats of poison drones carrying biological weapon.

To prevent London, and the Olympic Games this summer, the Government has announced a Prohibited Zone above Central London from 14 July 2012 to August 2012, Gary Mortimer reports.

It will be forbidden
[T]o operate a model weighing 7kg or above from any site within the Prohibited Zone for the duration of the game.
Yet for the Paralympic Games from 16 August 2012 to 12 September 2012, the Prohibited Zone will be "subject to more minor restrictions".

Any part of a CAA 1:500,000 chart that is yellow is considered a built up area and therefore not suitable for US flight. So a multicopter pilot observed flying outside of approved RC flying sites might expect an interview on the 13th floor at Gatwick with not biscuit.
