Can Robots be the future of building? Apparently, yes, if you listen to Ruairi Glynn and Bob Sheil, both from the UCL Bartlett, London. This is a multiple axis robot on a caterpillar base, which performs real-time construction. As both say, this robot combines digital design and methods in fabrication that are not possible with traditional manual building methods. Anyhow, Multiple Axis Robot opens new perspectives not only for architects, engineers and designers but also for universities.
